       Andrea Battista received most of her musical education in Winnipeg, studying piano with

Jean Broadfoot and violin with Anne Pomer-James and Mary Graham. She holds performance degrees in both instruments and still performs on both instruments. She has been a member of the Kingston Symphony Orchestra, the Oshawa Symphony Orchestra and has been a member of the Burlington Symphony Orchestra for the past 23 years. Andrea examined on both instruments for Conservatory Canada from 1990 to 2011.
       Andrea has taught piano and violin for over 40 years, as well as accompanying string players for many years. She is active as a chamber musician and chamber coach. Most recently, she spearheaded “Remember the Ladies” a concert featuring the music of female composers, where she performed on both violin and piano. She is a member of the group “4 and 6”, a violin guitar duo, that performs regularly in Burlington.
